Kirmac Cares for Kids
Kirmac is proud to support BC Children’s Hospital Foundation by donating a percentage of earned income from every repair to help the kids. By having your vehicle repaired at Kirmac, you can turn the unfortunate experience of being involved in an auto accident into a chance to assist in providing better health for the children and youth of British Columbia.
Kirmac Cares for Kids was launched in all of Kirmac’s eleven British Columbia locations in September 2010. In April of 2011, Kirmac employees began regular contributions through payroll deductions and participation in “Jeans Day Friday”.
A cheque is presented annually at the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation Miracle Weekend telethon held during the month of June. The first cheque presentation was made June 2011 for $120,000. In 2012, Kirmac presented an even bigger cheque for $152,041 bringing the grand total donated to over a quarter of a million dollars. Together Kirmac’s Customers, Employees and Partners can make a real difference!

BC Children’s Hospital
An agency of the Provincial Heath Services Authority, BC Children’s provides expert care for the province’s most seriously ill or injured children, including newborns and adolescents. Children’s provides vital specialized health services that may not be available anywhere else in the province.
The mission of BC Children’s Hospital is:
- To be a provincial and regional resource providing child and youth health care and services.
- To integrate our role as an academic health centre so that excellence in care is driven by learning and applying new knowledge; this quest for new knowledge is driven by clinical questions, and continual learning is driven by passion for what we do.
- To provide provincial and regional leadership in assessing and meeting health care needs by working with partners to ensure children, and youth throughout BC have access to excellent care.
