COQUITLAM, BRITISH COLUMBIA, June 6, 2016 – Kirmac Collision & Autoglass set a new annual record with their donation of $511,874.51 to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Miracle Weekend through the Kirmac Cares for Kids program.
Now in its sixth year, the program raised the largest annual donation yet thanks to the support from customers, employees and business partners. Funds for Kirmac Cares for Kids are raised from Kirmac donating a percentage of earned income from each vehicle repair, along with additional contributions from Kirmac customers, employees and business partners. To date, the combined total donated to BC Children’s Hospital Foundation is more than $1.5 million.
Miracle Weekend is a powerful event where patients and families of BC Children’s Hospital share their stories and British Columbians come together to show their support for the pediatric facility through generous donations. The funds raised are used to purchase life-saving equipment, support research into the treatment, prevention, and cure of childhood diseases, recruitment, and educational programs for caregivers, and programs in communities throughout the province.
This past weekend, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation beat their goal for the year and raised over $20 million dollars. The support shown from patients, their families, along with individuals and organizations across British Columbia was inspiring.
