Donations to the Miracle Weekend are used to support the purchase of life-saving equipment, research into the treatment, prevention, and cure of childhood diseases, recruitment, and educational programs for caregivers, and programs in communities throughout the province.

The Kirmac Cares for Kids program started in June 2011 and involves all of the company’s 11 BC lower mainland locations. Kirmac employees contribute through activities such as Jeans Day Friday and regular payroll deductions. Vendors and suppliers have been generous in contributing to the program as well.

Overall, the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation raised over $18 million during this year’s annual fundraiser telethon.
